Hi, could you start by telling us a bit about yourself?
Hey! My name is Oliya Costa. I am from Russia, Moscow. I work as a plus-size model, I advertise clothes and lingerie in plus size, and I run my blog about beauty and style. I break stereotypes about age, about size and beauty in black. and show by my example how a woman in plus size can look, be stylish, sexy and beautiful. I am a sports plus size representative, so I recommend sports and fitness on my blog and periodically show my workouts in stories.
How did you decide to be a professional model? Who or what inspired you?
In 2020, during the covid pandemic, my business project, which lasted 12 years, was closed. I was looking for a job. And I found an ad "we are inviting a plus size model to demonstrate plus size clothes." But! How could I go where I didn’t know how and didn’t know how to do it? That's why. I went to study at the Academy of Plus Size Models, and after that, I graduated from the Fp models model school, after a year of training and at the same time started working as a model.
When did you sign with an agency?
No, as long as I don't work with an agency. Probably because modelling agencies are more willing to see young models, I am an older model and go my own way.
What was your first job? How did it feel?
My first job was at the age of 19. I studied at the institute in the evening, and all day I worked as a secretary in a commercial
bank, answering customer calls and connecting with bank employees.
What is your dream modelling job?
I dream that women all over the world do not get hung up on their weight and diets, accept their real size for a given time and live here and now in their body, love themselves at any age and size and be happy.
What magazine would you like to be on the cover of?
probably it's Vogue Italian or vogue Brasilia... or any other well-known world magazine)
What do you enjoy most about modelling?
What gives me the most satisfaction is the result. If clothes or underwear are sold and women looking at me want to look the same and try it on themselves and buy it. Our job is to sell. And I am sincerely happy when this work brings not only aesthetic pleasure and money to me but also sales to those who work with me. This is professionalism.

2020 has been the strangest of years, how did you find the lockdown? Any lessons or discoveries?
it was a tough year for everyone. Firstly, my business project was finally closed. we were put at home for 4 months. it was a global soul-searching. it was an upgrade to the whole consciousness that everything in this world is very fragile. and the most important thing is health and
loved ones nearby. For me, this was a lot of stress. but thanks to the pandemic, an idea was born - to find yourself in prayer and help women in size plus accept themselves and help them look beautiful at any size and age)
What are your hobbies?
I collect handmade accessories from different masters. it gives me the pleasure of stylizing my images for every day, stylizing working shootings, and just enjoying these beautiful things, in which a piece of the master’s soul is invested.
in the field my hobby is sports. I have been jumping with Kangoo jumps for 5 years now, it gives me joy, and pleasure to keep myself in good shape in plus size.

What is your greatest strength!?
punctuality, and a deeper and more professional look at modelling, as I have been a business person in the past. sincerity. and my life experience.
What advice would you give someone starting out?
Firstly, he will receive a modelling education. secondly, to work out posing with a lot of shootings, only practice and experience. thirdly, be yourself and not be afraid of either age or your size.
